A licensed grower cultivates the plant in a controlled environment. Nothing here is on sale yet, and nothing is on Cultivar yet either, except the grower's licence details, entered once.
Every production run becomes a batch with its own number. A laboratory checks it is free of contaminants and records its strength. That report travels with the batch for the rest of its life.
Once it is a finished medicine it falls under Schedule 8, Australia's category for controlled medicines. From this moment every unit must be accounted for: where it is, who has it, and where it went.
The distributor shares the batch across the dispensaries that ordered it. Each dispensary's ledger shows what came in. A pharmacist dispenses one unit to a patient against their prescription, and the ledger shows what went out.
The patient ordered the repeat from their phone, was told when it was ready, and collected it. Their portal shows what they received and which batch it came from. If that batch is ever recalled, they can be told directly.
